“Peace Must Be Our Legacy for Future Generations” – A Vision of Peace by Chairman Man Hee Lee

In a world often marked by conflict and division, one leader continues to raise his voice for peace with unwavering dedication: Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL. Recently, he delivered a powerful speech at the 10th-anniversary celebration of the World Peace Declaration, calling for global peace and unity.

In his speech, Chairman Lee emphasized:

“Peace is necessary not only for families, schools, and societies but for all organizations and groups. There is no one who rejects peace, and this is why peace will undoubtedly prevail.”

Reflecting on his own experiences from the Korean War, Chairman Lee called for urgent national reconciliation and unity:

“Why should we fight each other as fellow countrymen? The suffering that our country endured during the war should never happen again. It is crucial that our leaders, both in the South and North, work together to achieve the unification of the Korean Peninsula.”

He also highlighted the importance of collaboration across global leaders and organizations for the common goal of peace:

“No leader or organization should shy away from collaborating in the name of peace. We must unite for the common purpose of creating a world without war.”

Chairman Lee shared his personal experience of peace-building in Mindanao, Philippines, where he successfully mediated peace after decades of conflict:

“I witnessed how even in the midst of war, people who were once enemies could become friends. Peace is not a matter of words; it is about taking action.”

As we reflect on the last ten years of HWPL’s efforts to spread peace, Chairman Lee's words continue to inspire action. His message remains clear: the time for peace is now, and it must be passed down to future generations.
