Celebrating 10 Years of Peace: HWPL 9∙18 World Peace Summit

The much-anticipated 10th Anniversary of the HWPL 9∙18 World Peace Summit is almost here! 🌍 On September 18, 2024, this global event will unite 122 countries, including South Korea, to reflect on a decade of unwavering commitment to peace. The theme, "Building a Global Peace Community through Regional Cooperation," emphasizes the importance of collaboration in achieving world peace.

This event holds special significance as it celebrates the efforts of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), a peace organization led by Chairman Man Hee Lee, whose work in peace education, international law, and peace campaigns has touched people around the globe. Over the last decade, HWPL has been instrumental in bringing leaders, communities, and nations together to engage in dialogue and take actionable steps toward a more peaceful world.  

Reflecting on 10 Years of Peace Advocacy

For the past 10 years, HWPL has hosted the annual 9∙18 World Peace Summit to highlight the urgent need for peace and foster cooperation among various sectors of society. Through these summits, HWPL has proposed real, actionable solutions, such as the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), which calls for the elimination of armed conflict. Chairman Lee's relentless efforts to promote peace and bring leaders together for dialogue has inspired countless supporters, including myself, to actively participate in this movement.  

As an HWPL supporter, I’ve seen firsthand how Chairman Lee’s vision of peace has grown into a global movement. His leadership continues to motivate millions, including people from countries in conflict, to pursue a future where peace is not just a dream, but a reality.  

 

Coming Soon: The 10th Anniversary

This year’s 10th anniversary event will be even more meaningful, marking a significant milestone in the peace movement. The HWPL 9∙18 World Peace Summit has always stood as a powerful symbol of unity, and this year, the event will be focused on regional cooperation as a strategy for building a global peace community. The summit will showcase the role of civil societies and international organizations working together to support peace and security, as well as the tremendous progress made since the first summit 10 years ago.

Chairman Man Hee Lee’s international peace law initiatives and efforts to include peace education in schools worldwide have set a strong foundation for continued global cooperation. As a supporter, I am excited to see how this year’s summit will inspire even more individuals and groups to work for peace.
