IWPG Incheon Yeonsu Branch Signs Peace Education MOU with Incheon Migrant Lifelong Learning Center

The Incheon Yeonsu Branch of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), led by Director Jung Yeon-joo, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Incheon Migrant Lifelong Learning Center, headed by Director Cha Jae-myung, to strengthen cooperation in peace education and social integration for women and migrant residents.

The signing ceremony took place on October 28 at the IWPG Yeonsu Branch office.


Strengthening Community-Based Peace and Integration

Through this partnership, the two organizations agreed to collaborate in several key areas, including:

  • Peace, character, and leadership education programs for women and migrant communities

  • Support for Korean language education

  • Joint use of educational spaces and facilities

  • Participation and promotion of peace-related events organized by either institution

  • Activities supporting and promoting the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)

The MOU aims to create inclusive educational opportunities for women from diverse cultural backgrounds and to promote social harmony and sustainable peace within the local community.


Empowering Women and Migrant Communities

Director Jung Yeon-joo of IWPG Yeonsu Branch emphasized the significance of the partnership:

“This MOU provides a meaningful opportunity for women and migrants in our community to learn and grow together. We will continue to actively promote educational initiatives that contribute to peace and harmony in the region.”

The collaboration is expected to enhance cross-cultural understanding, empower women through education, and foster a stronger sense of community across Incheon.
