From Africa to Asia: How HWPL & IPYG Are Uniting the World in Peace

In a world where conflicts still cause pain and suffering, a global peace organization is making a difference—HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and its youth branch, IPYG (International Peace Youth Group). Under the leadership of Chairman Man Hee Lee, HWPL continues to inspire hope by promoting peace through various activities worldwide.

🎄 A Special Christmas in Namibia

On December 16, 2023, IPYG Namibia, along with the Rob Youth Foundation, hosted a Christmas event for children at an orphanage in Havana, one of the poorest areas in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek. The children enjoyed fun games, painting, and delicious food, creating warm memories despite their difficult living conditions. Around 450 people participated, including local volunteers and media, showing strong support for peace efforts.

📚 Education for Peace in India & Bangladesh

To celebrate UN’s International Volunteer Day on December 5, 2023, IPYG partnered with youth organizations in India and Bangladesh to provide education programs. The "Youth Empowerment Peace Class (YEPC)" inspired young people to take action for peace. In India’s West Bengal and Manipur regions, children and youth learned about their role in building peace through interactive activities. In Bangladesh, IPYG hosted a peace photo exhibition, helping people realize that peace starts in everyday life.

🕊️ Peace in Mindanao, Philippines

The Philippines' Mindanao region has suffered from decades of conflict, but a new wave of peace is emerging. The Cotabato-based NGO "Kutawato Greenland Initiative (KGI)" officially joined IPYG and has been leading peace projects, such as peace walks and interfaith dialogues. KGI's efforts have contributed to building the 3rd Peace Monument in Cotabato, symbolizing the region’s commitment to ending violence.

Danilo Moksin, KGI’s founder, shared an inspiring message:
"Let’s replace weapons with dialogue and reconciliation. Together, we can create a better world for future generations. Peace starts with us!"
