Following the overwhelming response to his first journey to Germany and Austria in May 2012, Man-hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, was called back to Europe just two months later. But this second peace tour didn't stop there—it expanded into a landmark journey connecting Belgium, Germany, New York, and California.

This 2nd peace tour marked a decisive moment: proving that the universal desire for peace and truth transcends continents, cultures, and denominations.

Overwhelming Receptions in Belgium & Germany

The journey began in July 2012 in Houffalize, Belgium, where over 300 religious figures and attendees gathered, welcoming Chairman Lee with palm branches. The enthusiasm was so intense that three back-to-back lecture sessions were held in a single day.

In Germany, Pastor Dorothy Wilson of Atterbury Chapel—who had attended Chairman Lee’s Frankfurt lecture during the 1st tour—took an unprecedented step: inviting an outside speaker to lead a joint service at her own church.

Step onto American Soil: Manhattan & Orange County

By mid-July 2012, the peace tour reached the United States.

• The Times Center (New York City): On July 14, over 300 leaders gathered at the iconic venue inside the New York Times headquarters in Manhattan. Chairman Lee introduced himself as a speaker from the East, sharing a message of global harmony and urging leaders to unite for peace.

• The Crystal Cathedral (California): On July 21, the tour reached its climax in Orange County, California, where over 1,500 attendees filled the famed Crystal Cathedral. Local media, including New SantaAna and NBC regional reporters, covered the event, noting how an 80-plus-year-old advocate was sparking a new wave of spiritual and civil reflection.

A Global Call to Action: Leaving Peace as a Heritage

Throughout every stop across Belgium, Germany, New York, and California, Chairman Lee delivered a consistent, unifying message:

"The ultimate order of the Creator is not war or destruction, but peace. Let us join hands to erase conflict and bequeath a world free of war as an eternal legacy for our children."

This 2nd tour bridged Eastern and Western perspectives on peace, paving the way for the official launch of HWPL and establishing a global network of leaders committed to conflict resolution.
