IWPG Global Region 3 and India’s Edge of Essence Join Hands for Peace

On August 13, 2025, the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Global Region 3, led by Global Director Heo Eun-joo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Edge of Essence, a lifestyle magazine based in India. The agreement was concluded online, marking a new milestone in cross-border cooperation for the realization of peace.

Building a Sustainable Partnership

Under the MOU, the two organizations agreed to establish an ongoing framework for collaboration, including:

• Media Cooperation – promoting IWPG peace campaigns through media coverage

• Content Creation – producing articles featuring local peace activities and interviews with women leaders

• Social Media Outreach – amplifying peace events and messages on social platforms

• Co-Branding – using joint logos in branding and distributing collaborative content

• Event Cooperation – co-hosting events and forums in India, including sending speakers

This formal partnership builds upon previous exchanges, such as IWPG Women’s Peace Lecturer training, peace lecturer activities, and introducing schools in India to the Peace-Loving Drawing Competition.

A Lifestyle Platform for Peace

Founded in 2024, Edge of Essence covers people, success stories, global initiatives, health and wellness, beauty, fashion, and entertainment. By joining forces with IWPG, the magazine aims to integrate peace values into its wide-ranging content and reach diverse audiences across India.

Global Director Heo Eun-joo shared her expectations:

IWPG’s Global Role

IWPG is an international women’s NGO registered with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Its activities include global women’s solidarity, spreading a culture of peace through initiatives like the Peace-Loving Drawing Competition, conducting women’s peace education, and advocating for legal and institutional measures to achieve peace.

Through this partnership, IWPG and Edge of Essence aim to inspire new voices for peace and strengthen the role of women as key actors in building a harmonious future.
