Uniting Beyond Borders: HWPL’s Global Prayers, Peace Concerts, and the Voices of Children

In a world torn apart by conflict and division, one organization continues to bring people together through the universal languages of prayer, song, and hope—HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), led by Chairman Man Hee Lee.

As the horrors of war persist in places like Ukraine, Gaza, and Colombia, HWPL remains steadfast in its mission: to unite humanity as one, regardless of nationality, religion, or race. Through global initiatives such as online prayer gatherings, peace concerts, and the launch of a children’s peace choir, HWPL is sowing seeds of peace across continents.

✨ A Global Prayer for Peace: 73 Nations, One Heart

On November 18, 2023, HWPL hosted a monumental online interfaith prayer event with over 855 religious leaders from 73 countries. From Buddhist monks to Christian pastors, Islamic imams to Hindu gurus, representatives from diverse faiths joined together—each praying in their unique way, but with a common goal: the end of war and the beginning of lasting peace.

The prayer meeting, which took place in two sessions (UTC 6:00 and 13:00), served as a powerful reminder of the shared spiritual values that can bridge even the deepest divides. Participants mourned victims of ongoing conflicts and called for solidarity across faiths.

Dr. Neeraj Bodhi from India expressed his gratitude, saying, “This was a new experience that showed me the human values in all religions. The message that all humans are one stood out most.” Another participant, Prof. Lukman Adediji from Nigeria, emphasized, “This prayer meeting is proof of HWPL’s sincere commitment to peace.”

Following this heartfelt event, many leaders pledged to continue the efforts through relay prayer meetings in their local communities.

🎶 Peace Through Music: A Concert of Compassion in Madagascar

Just a month later, on December 22, 2023, HWPL co-hosted the 2nd Peace Concert in Madagascar in collaboration with Radisson Blu Hotel. Attended by 100 high-level guests—including government ministers, ambassadors, and representatives from the U.S. Embassy and UNESCO—the concert served as both a cultural celebration and a call to action.

Despite being one of the poorest countries in the world, with 70% of its population living in poverty, the spirit of giving was alive. An impressive 80% of attendees contributed donations toward HWPL’s peace education initiatives. These funds will support the establishment of peace libraries and educational programs for underserved children.

Madagascar’s Minister of Labor, Employment, Public Service, and Social Laws, Richard Jean Bosco Rivotiana, praised HWPL’s efforts, stating, “With HWPL, we can transform our society into a peaceful one.”

👧🏽 The Next Generation: East Timor’s Peace Children’s Choir

Peace begins with education—and HWPL’s partnership with Lighthouse International School in Dili, East Timor, is a shining example. After more than a year of peace education, the school inaugurated its Children’s Peace Choir on November 27, 2023.

More than just singing, these children are now ambassadors of peace, expressing their understanding of harmony and unity through music. This initiative, born from a shared vision between HWPL and the school’s principal, Mr. Noel Daguimo Rebujon, shows the transformative power of peace education when combined with creativity and community.

🌍 Building a Global Culture of Peace

Through these diverse efforts—from global online prayer meetings to on-the-ground concerts and educational programs—HWPL continues to create a culture of peace rooted in action, compassion, and cooperation.

Chairman Man Hee Lee’s message echoes throughout these projects: “It is our duty to leave a peaceful world as a legacy for future generations.”

At a time when division seems louder than unity, HWPL reminds us that we truly are One Humanity—and together, peace is not only possible, but achievable.

Let’s raise our voices together—whether in prayer, song, or support—and join the movement for world peace. 🌎✌️
