HWPL’s Peace Blossoms in Mindanao: 11 Peace Monuments Erected
In a world often torn by conflict, the global peace organization HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) continues to make waves with its mission to end war and establish lasting peace. HWPL’s peace initiatives, led by Chairman Man Hee Lee, span across political, legal, educational, and grassroots sectors, uniting diverse communities worldwide.
One of the most remarkable recent achievements is the establishment of 11 peace monuments in the Philippines, with a significant one unveiled in Manila. These efforts celebrate the 9th anniversary of the Mindanao Peace Agreement, a groundbreaking civil peace accord mediated by HWPL.

A Landmark in Manila
On January 24, 2023, Manila witnessed the unveiling of its first-ever peace monument at Plaza Asuncion in Malate. Spearheaded by the Metro Manila Rotary Club and supported by HWPL, this monument symbolizes the Filipino people’s commitment to peace.
The monument also represents the global support for HWPL’s Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), an international legal framework for sustainable peace. The initiative aligns with Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ efforts to institutionalize peace as a national priority.
