HWPL Peace Education has reached India’s classrooms, creating ripples of positive transformation. One shining example is Padmaja Behera, a teacher at Jagran Public School in Noida, who has integrated HWPL’s 12-chapter peace curriculum into her teaching.

“Peace is a universal value that everyone can internalize through education,” Padmaja explained in an interview. After undergoing an intensive 45-day teacher training program led by HWPL educators from Korea in 2020–21, she began her journey as a peace educator.

Using the structured curriculum, Padmaja teaches her students not just theoretical concepts of peace but helps them actively experience and embody its values through innovative activities. These efforts have made her classroom a beacon of harmony and understanding.

 

Transforming Students’ Lives Through Peace Education

Padmaja’s peace education approach goes beyond conventional teaching. She incorporates activities that allow students to comprehend the cycles of violence and appreciate the true value of peace.
