DPCW Handbook Project and Education

Heavenly Culture World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) (Chairman: Manhee Lee) is an international NGO dedicating itself to achieve the world peace and to cease wars around the world.

HWPL has suggested the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) as a solution to achieve sustainable peace in the world. In the form of the declaration, this legislative bill aims to prevent wars at sources and pass on the culture of peace to the next generation. 

HWPL launched the 'HWPL International Law Enactment Peace Committee (ILPC)' composed of experts in international law at 2015 1st World Peace Summit. Chairman Manhee Lee and ILPC then proclaimed the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW in March 14th 2016. DPCW contains plans for developing sustainable peace which can be practiced by all citizens of global society. 'DPCW handbook Project and Education' is one of many projects to spread the culture of peace around the world.

'DPCW Handbook' is a guidebook explaining value and spirit of DPCW. This handbook was published in October 2020 by the ILPC committee. After its establishment, universities from Bangladesh, India, Tunisia and others has been conducting 'DPCW Handbook Project,' discussion projects based on the DPCW handbook.

At the 7th anniversary of World Peace Summit in 2021, a case of Bangladesh 'DPCW Handbook Project' was presented. Presenter Dr. Md Nazrul Islam, Chairman and professor, Department of Law, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, stated that DPCW handbook is a great source to systematically teach international law and the essence of peace to the students and citizens. He mentioned that students participating in this project can become future lecturers of international law and peace. He emphasized that academics must promote public discourse on building peace.

Dominican Republic is one of the countries conducting 'DPCW Handbook Project.' Rommel Santos Diaz, the president of the Dominican Federalist Foundation presented the achievement of the project and future plans. He explain that schools and universities in Dominican Republic are doing 'DPCW Handbook Education' to teach DPCW. Many professors are very interested in the 'DPCW Handbook Education,' asking for the training sessions for this education. Dominican Republic is working on institutionalizing 'DPCW Handbook Education' and it will apply this as a part of the curriculum for the universities of international law.
