Do you know what is the main cause of war?

According to the ‘Global Citizen Peace Awareness Research’ conducted by HWPL and Peace Initiative in the year 2019, global citizens claimed that religious conflict is the main cause of war. History proves that wars were deeply rooted in religious differences.

When Chairman Man Hee Lee began the initiative for world peace, he emphasized the importance of religious harmony to realize world peace. He said that alliance of religions is the key path towards world peace.

World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) is one of HWPL’s peace project which gained enthusiastic supports from religious world. WARP Offices are the place where leaders from different religion gather to compare and contrast their scriptures. There are two purposes behind these discussions and meetings. One is to reach religious harmony through deep understanding of other religions. The other is to realize the religious peace through finding the most trustworthiness in scriptures. 253 WARP offices in 129 countries are working toward resolving religious disputes and building peace in religious context.

One thing Chairman Lee always make sure to do during the World Peace Tour is having meetings with local religious leaders. That is how religious harmony is important in HWPL’s peace agenda. He says that religious conflict is a proof that religion became old and corrupted because God who created the heaven and earth does not make disputes that brings death to life. Isn’t it very logical? No parents would like to see their children put into death and this is how God feels about His creature. Thus, religious disputes in the world clearly shows that current religious world needs to be renewed, following the will of true God. That is why it is so important to make alliance of religion. “We are One” is the slogan Chairman Lee proclaim to the World. This slogan expresses Chairman Lee’s wish for the world to become one under one God.
