Heaven helps those who help themselves.

One of the old Korean proverbs is 'Heaven helps those who help themselves.' It means that Heaven making someone who tries for himself a success and that one's efforts are important to accomplish something. Here is what happens only with the tremendous effort of one's own and the help of Heaven. It's about building the world of peace.

Building the world of peace is not something an individual can do. It's too big a thing to achieve by human thought. Thus, so far, many people have tried to make peace, but have not completed it yet. Heaven's help is so necessary to fulfil peace in the world. How, then, can we get help from heaven?

There should be a man who knows the will of heaven and does it. Here is a man who works to achieve peace under reveals from heaven, he is Chairman Man Hee Lee of 'Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light' (HWPL) which is an international peace NGO affiliated with the UN ECOSOC and the UN DGC.

Chairman Man Hee Lee said in one of his articles.

One day it had been revealed unto me by heaven that was the answer to 'the work of restoration world peace with heavenly culture' which is much bigger and greater than volunteer work, and I started the peace movement like a cow under heaven's direction. This is the work that is on a greater scale of heaven, in which a human cannot fathom. I started it with the determination to put my life on the line and complete the commands I received. This work is God’s purpose and it is the work of mankind.

Chairman Man Hee Lee organized HWPL to do the great thing of heaven, and registered it as an NGO in the United Nations and set out for the world. He is doing this work of ceasing the global war and making peace to the world to make it a permanent legacy for future generations. In accordance with the will of heaven, He had drafted the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). The DPCW is a legal document that was drafted by HWPL and proclaimed on 14 March 2016, purposing to create a legally binding instrument for the cessation of war and establishment of peace. It is composed of 10 articles and 38 clauses, and offers universal values and principles such as peaceful conflict resolution, promotion of friendly relations between states, freedom of religion, and the spreading of a culture of peace, for the advancement of peace in both nations and civil society.

How can heaven not help, for it is heaven's command?
Hundreds of thousands of citizens and members of HWPL have sent peace letters urging support to heads of state around the world to bring the DPCW to the United Nations under binding laws, and they are awaiting replies. As humans strive for a peaceful world like this, heaven will help HWPL's peace moves even more.

As a result of efforts at the African Peace Leaders' Peace Conference held in South Africa on August 10, 2018, two African countries officially announced to support the DPCW on a national level. The meaningful scene was broadcast live by the state-run SABC in South Africa and by African media including Uganda, Cameroon and Zambia.


The reason why this unprecedented move for the civil organization is well-doing, is to due to those who have tried to do it and those who are working hard in one mind and as well as heaven is eager to help them.
