What is the role of a youth and women when it comes to achieving world peace? Find out with today's conference held in South Korea

Today is the fourth day since the peace summit and forums in South Korea had begun. With the Inter-Korea summit held at Pyeongyang, the world has its eyes on the Korean peninsula and its peace movement. HWPL's peace forums is scheduled to end on the 20th.

I was invited to the Summit on the 18th as a member of the Supporters 'ONE' as well. It was my second time attending the Summit but this year it was incomparably better than the previous ones.

what caught my eye was how organized inside the stadium was. With 100,000 participants attending just inside the stadium alone, the atmosphere of the stadium was very positive. Everyone smiled to each other, people sharing snacks, the neat lines calmly waiting for their turn for the washroom. Not only that, since the number of available seats were limited, the organization prepared seats just outside the stadium and a big screen. Everyone was following the directions of the staffs and were happy to join the peace festival.

For the festival, I can only say, it is a must that you watch the clips on youtube!! The whole ground was full of performers dressed in various colors and they moved together as if they were one. Look closely in the picture below and you'll realize those are people wearing colorful T-shirts. Looking at the clips some people even said "Those are photoshopped" or "They must have been paid". Neither is true as all of the participants are active volunteers for peace and this festival.

What is the role of the youth and women when it comes to achieving world peace?

Before going into the subject, we need to think about what happens shen war breaks out. During war, young men are sent to fight in the war and for most of the time their lives are sacrificed. If not, it leaves an unforgettable trauma from the horror and fear of war. As a youth, what I can do, and what you can do in making world peace possible is not at all complicated.
First is to to make DPCW a law with a binding force. Youth need to step forward as one to achieve this. Youth all over the world should join in writing a peace letter and delivering the written letter to the leaders of other nations so that they learn about HWPL's peace work and the plausibility of DPCW.

During today's conference 'The Role of the Youth in Spreading a Culture of Peace for the Realization of World Peace, Peaceful unification on the Korean Peninsula', how to achieve peace will be discussed. Participants are leaders of youth groups and young people desiring peace such as well as IPYG members. As a youth myself, I can't wait for the conference to begin!

Another conference taken on the same time would be '2018 Worldwide Women’s Peace conference, the Role of Women in Realizing Peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the World'. For today's meeting, IWPG and the beloved guests will discuss about the implementation of DPCW and peace education and such.

For conclusion, I sincerely believe today's two conferences are going to be fruitful and I also wish for the peaceful unification on the Korean Peninsula through legislating international law and the implementation of DPCW!
