Aside from my birthday and harvesting, Autumn is also the season of warmth and peace. I say peace because on September 18 2018, a big peace festival will be held: 4th Anniversary of WARP. As a passionate supporter of HWPL and their peace work, I can't believe this is already the fourth Anniversary that we are celebrating since the first WARP Summit! (Hurray!!)
What is HWPL and what does it do?
If this is your first time ever hearing about HWPL, it is the abbreviation for 'Heavenly culture, World Peace and restoration of Light'. It is the United Nations Economic and Social Council UN ECOSOC-affiliated global peace organization founded in 2013. Their main campaigns have been for peace culture and cessation of wars.Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL used to be a South Korean war veteran. He had fought during the Korean War and saw his comrades die right before his eyes. That was when he realized that he must dedicate his life in bringing sustainable world peace. Ever since then, he has been a fierce advocate for world peace.
When I first heard how old he was, I couldn't help but be amazed at how much energy and passion he put into this peace work. Almost 90 years old, he travelled around the world 29 times all to meet people willing to join his peace work and to spread the culture of peace. When asked for what benefit he is doing what he does, he said 'There is nothing better than leaving a legacy to the future generation after achieving the world peace'
“All mankind desires peace, nobody wants war. So, if we become one, we will be able to achieve peace. HWPL exists for youth. I hope all will youths will join in peace activities of the IPYG and leave peace as a legacy for our future generations,”

Below are remarks made by the educators from all over the world.
In-Country Representative of Teachers Without Borders-Kenya
"I should not just teach for A's, but teach someone who will be having the moral obligation to respect life. I've been trying my own ways until recently when I learned peace education values through HWPL and implemented it and it has worked. I found the solutions now."
Professor of Don Bosco University
"I consider thay without peace education, the children and youth will not have the tools of cohabitation. It is necessary to have an integral education where it teaches the following values: respect for life, respect and tolerance for one another, love and goodness... it teaches them to fulfill social norms."Hundreds of education centers all over the world are joining HWPL as they are realizing the necessity for teaching the importance of peace and what peace truly means to the youth and the young.
4th Anniversary of WARP Summit
WARP stands for 'World Alliance of Religions Peace'. That is, WARP is a summit that has been held for the sole purpose of bringing world peace. The host of this summit is HWPL, Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light. Below is the introduction that they have on their official website.
''With peace and respect for life as its core values, HWPL transcends culture, religion, ideology, and other boundaries to achieve peaceful harmony in the global society.
HWPL is committed to bringing world peace and cessation of war through the establishment of an enforceable law compatible with the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War(DPCW) and the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace(WARP) offices. Women and youth involved with HWPL’s peace initiatives play a significant role in both peace building and conflict resolution in their respective communities as active proponents of peace'
