There is a growing supprot within many mayor cities around the world for the observance of both the World Alliance of Religions Day and HWPL Day which affirm a vision of our world at peace and foster cooperation between individuals, organizations, and nations regardless of one's religion.
Mayor Earnest d. Davis and the Citizens of the City of Mount Vernon, New York have recently acknowledged HWPL's dedication in bringing people of different religions together by officially designating September 18th as the "World Alliance of Religions Day" to commemorate the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit.
With enormously diverse population, 68,000 people from over 98 different nationalities residing, the whole community of the City of Mount Vernon is uniting through love and tolerance by accepting HWPL's philosophy and proclaiming the day of peace.
HWPL's full name is Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light, which is a non-government, non-profit organization registered under the Korean Ministry of foreign Affair that transcends differences in culture, belief and region to engage leaders and youth in sustainable and comprehensive solution for peace.
HWPL is committed to community development through volunteer outreach, women advocacy, and cultural and religious exchange through International Women's Peace Group (IWPG) and youth engagement through International Peace Youth Group (IPYG). We strive to facilitate comprehensive grassroots peace building that involves diverse voices of the community. leaders in education, governmental and religious sectors as wee as non-profit organizations and youth to create sustainable solutions and empower individuals and communities to be an integral part in global peacebuilding.
