Chairman ManHeeLee of HWPL held a peace conference in London.

 The United Kingdom commonly known as the United Kimdom(UK) and it is a sovereign state in Europe. The United Kimdom is a delveloped country and has the world's fifth-largest economy by nominal GDP and tenth-largest economy by purchasing power parity. The United Kingdom(UK) remains a great power with considerable economic, cultural, military, scientific, and political influence internationally.






Press conference for the cessation of war and international conflict

 On November 12th through 14th in London, United Kingdom, Chairman ManHeeLee of HWPL convened with HWPL International Law Peace Committee members and renowned international law scholars to discuss the 2nd draft of the International Armed Conflicts. The conference coincided with the indiscriminate armed attack perpetrated by terrorists on November 13th in Paris, which brought to public attention the urgent need for fundamental solutions to recurring violence. The revised Convention is expected to serve as a unique and effective tool in preventing any further non-peaceful activities like terrorist attacks and civil wars as it stipulates concrete measures such as prohibition of invasion of other countries and arms trade and foundation a monitoring committee for banning asy wars and conflicts.

 

 

Along with the discussion on the convention, Chairman ManHeeLee held a press conference and appealed to the journalists that as eyes, ears and mouth of society they let the public know about the importance of international convention on cessation of war. He also met with Oxford University students participating in Model United Nations and encouraged youths to actively take part in peacebuilding process.
