HWPL held 3rd World Alliance of Religions' Peace dialogue in Dubai
The United Arab Emirates where more than 200 nationalities, peacefully co-exist, recently issued the anti-discrimination law. It is against any form of discmination on the basis of religion, caste, creed, doctrine, race, color or ethnic origin. By issuing this law and keeping peace with movement, HWPL brought the religious leaders in WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) office and held WARP dialogue. In addition, the youth have opportunity to attend this dialogue in other countires through online so that participants from nine countries could witness how religious leaders tatke an action in their position for bringing peace.
The WARP office is one of good ways to build world peace suggested by HWPL. HWPL stresses out that "True world peace is possible only when everyone in this world becomes the peace advocate transcending nationality, religion, race and ideology". So, HWPL proposed religious leaders to understand and embrace each religion by discussing the way for peace as well as finding the commonality of each religion according to their holy texts.
At the 3rd WARP dialogue, relgious leaders attended from three religions; Buddhism, Christianity and Sikhism. They discussed their opinion under the topic 'The Relations between Creator and Human', according to their scripture.
The religious leader from Sikhism commented, "We had a very good session today. The topics were very interesting, informative and very thought-provoking. I learnt a lot today at he WARP meeting and I think we should continue such meeting regulary.
One of the youths from philippines states why religious leaders need to participate continuously in WARP office meeting, "It's amazing to witness what religious leaders are doing for peace in their position. I will join International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and find out what I can do for peace in IPYG. and I will let my friend know about peace works of HWPL.
IPYG is one of the subsidiary organizaion under the HWPL and currently working with 488 youth orgnization in 96 nations.
Celebrating the 1st commenmoration day of World Alliance of Religions' Peace summit, all paritipants raised their hands to vow to put their power into realizing peace which marked the end to the day's event. On Sep. 17 through 19 in 2014, HWPL hosted the World Alliance of Religions' Peace Summit where 200,000 people participated for the cessation of wars and world peace. The were approximately 2,000 political leaders and women and youth group leaders and 700 religious leaders from 170 different nations.
